Area 10

"A step-by-step series of simple complex counterparts.
Imagine a ladder that never ends, built by its climbers. Piece by piece, like the brittle skeleton limbs of a wooden robot, being brought to life. Footprints and graffiti left along the way, marks made by falling tools and the initials of rebel workers scratched into the beams to record their part in the making.
From tiny pieces and parts of something else, a ladder shall grow, taking the viewer on a route from start to finish, telling a story with wood, revealing the structure of an idea. Each piece a testament to its part in the bigger composition. David performs this improvised painting and sculpture with area 10 in mind"
